The Techy Advantage

There are many really good apps for your phone that are available to help you with tracking your nutrition and exercise. I don’t have a lot of time to search but some that are free or have minimal charges that have been brought to my attention are:

Nike+ Training Club-Good for Variety Lovers it now has a customizable 4 week program, and you can work within strength and cardio routines in an easy to follow coaching. (free)

Hot 5: for Core Enthusiasts: Five moves, 5 minutes. You can try one of the 75 quick routines after a run, bike or walk or stack them together for a full workout (free)

Moves:  for Data-Curious Walkers: It uses your phone’s motion processor to keep tabs on the distance, steps, and calories burned. ($2.99)

Charity Miles: best for Do-good Adventurers who log workouts and earn donations for organizations like Stand Up to Cancer: 25 cents for every mile you walk/run and 10 cents for every mile cycled.  (free)

1001 Sugar Smart Foods Shopping guide: which puts more than 1000 great-tasting, low sugar choices at your fingertips.

https://supertracker.usda.gov/default.aspx will let you monitor your progress. It has a food tracker, a physical activity tracker a weight manager and a “Food-a-Pedia” containing about 9.000 common food items that have been analyzed by the USDA and loaded into the system.

If you have found some you really like please reply so I can post your suggestion and get a running list of options.
